Poetry

Yesterday we worked on some acrostic poems for our page about P4/2 keep a look out for them coming soon. We did one about Mrs Mackay too.

We also worked on one together about the weather -it was a really stormy day and we had a severe weather warning for where we live. Mrs Mackay, Mrs Lemmon and Mrs Milne think it is fantastic – we worked really hard and Mrs Mackay wrote it out on a white board-here it is.

STORMY WEATHER

Snowflakes swirling

Trees rustling

Outside looks wild

Rain lashing down

My jacket is warm

You had better wrap up

Wind howling , whistling

Everyone rushing home

Another horrid night

Thunder banging

Hailstones bouncing

Everything crashing about

Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning.

Please let us know what you think.

Evening

 Evening comes with water dripping.

Evening comes with owls hooting.

Evening comes with birds chirping.

Evening comes with hamster rustling.

Evening comes with foxes howling.

Evening comes with children crying.

Evening comes with door bells ringing.

Evening comes with me going to sleep.
