Sam’s cakes

Hello I am making cakes, they cost 10p each which is quite a good price and 2 cost 20p. you are only allowed to buy 2 at a time if you want some you have to fill in an order form. When you have filled it in please give it back to me and then you will get your cakes. I hope you enjoy them I think they are very yummy!

Sam’s Cakes

On Tuesday last week Sam made chocolate crispy cakes with Mrs Humble. He has worked really hard at making posters to advertise them and order forms for our class to order them.We were really excited because Mrs Mackay tried one that he made two weeks ago when he was practising and she said it was the most delicious cake that she has ever tasted! We were only allowed to order 2 cakes each because there are 32 children in our class and it would have taken Sam a long time to make them. Some of us paid in advance and Sam checked each day that our orders were marked as paid and that we gave the right money and got the right change. Well done Sam – we loved tasting them – watch this space for how Sam gets on with his new bakery business and watch out Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver  - Sam’s Cakes might become more popular than yours!!!!.

On Monday  the 2nd of June we are going to have some one coming to do a slab painting we have to bring £2.50. The painting is going to be about Dingwall. When they are done they are then going to be hung and mounted.   

Tomorrow it is Fruity Friday and that means we get to dress down. On Fruity Friday it means that you have to take a piece of fruit if you want to dress down. You have to stay inside and eat your fruit because some people just throw their fruit away into the bin. Sometime we wear jeans and fancy tops.

28^th May 2008

On Wednesday the 28^th of May it was my birthday .

I got lots of lovely art and craft presents. I also got a bench dress and lots of other things. Then after play time when we did pupil of the week I was chosen to be pupil of the week. Then when we went home I got a lot more presents and I got a lovely pencil and two lovely rubbers of Mrs. Mackay. When I got home I got a necklace with a K on it from my granny.

Science  15.5.08

Last Friday we went to science and we made papers out of pulp for technology. One table at a time had a turn to make paper. First we had to rip up toilet roll then we had to mush it into pulp and then we had to let it dry for one week. We had to learn about making paper first. Our class is next to the Science lab- it does not have a class number on it because all the classes share it. We always have science on a Friday morning and other classes have science on other days.

Walk Around Dingwall

On Monday the 19^th of May our class and P 4/1 went a walk around Dingwall for our topic. First we went to the George Gordon Fountain and sometimes the horses drink from it then we went to the town hall but we never went in. We had to choose one thing to draw from the clock, the gate or the front of the town hall. The clock was a bit hard you had to go back then we went to see the Queen Victoria plaque. We had to draw it and then we went to the Soldier Memorial it was to remember the people who died in the Second World War. We had our snack and next we went to the Cambrai Cross and the John Meikle memorial. Our last stop was the Doocot and we saw a heron and then we went back to school and had a good afternoon.

Poor Mrs Mackay 22.5.08

On Tuesday Mr Mackay was dropping off  Mrs Mackay at lunchtime in the school car park. She went out to the car carrying some boxes.

Suddenly she tripped over an uneven bit of kerb…..The P7s and Mr Mackay watched her falling. She was very embarrassed. She scraped her knee and hurt her thumb. The next day when she went to the doctor’s they told her that she had broken her thumb! She had to get a plaster cast and a sling. All of our class  feel very sorry for her Poor Mrs Mackay! Mrs Mackay might have to get an operation and she will have to keep the cast on for 6-8 weeks but she is hoping it will only be 6 weeks.

Circle time Accidents

When Mrs Mackay hurt her thumb she had to go to casualty so we had circle time about accidents. Nathan said that he cut his finger with an axe. Regan said that when he was 3 he fell off his bunk bed and broke his nose. James fell downstairs when he was 2 and broke his arm. It was great fun talking about accidents.

Last week in class everyone was talking about ghost stories Mrs Mackay told a  funny story about a spider. Mrs Mackay got her husband back for scaring her after that – everyone enjoyed it. I told one about a tower it was good.

Class Talk

On Friday I did my class talk it was abut my goldfish they are called Moketa and James

 Pond. I brought in some fish food to show everyone. Mrs Mackay said I tried very hard and it was good.
