The Computer Virus

There is a virus in the school at the moment this is how it started. One of our signing teachers works in our school and another school. They had a virus but nobody knew and she put her USB into the computer in the other school which had the virus, so the virus was on her USB then she put it in the Deaf Base computer and then it had the virus. Then she used it on other computers in the school. One computer next to the window upstairs is still not working it still has a virus.

Hi everyone we have now taken over Mrs Mackay’s class blogspot and wanted to get started by letting you konow a little bit about us. Read on to find out more about P6/1
What’s going on in p6/1 tonight?! 

We just started p 6 and so far it’s gone well .We found out we have fish in the tank. At the side of the classroom door there is a fish tank. Before the holidays we decorated our fish in the tank so far. When someone does something bad they have to take a fish out . We also have pupil of the week . Pupil of the week is when a pupil is picked because they have behaved. If you are pupil of the week you get interviewed and you picture gets put up. Pupil of the week means you get Barnibie home for a week. Barnibie is a rabbit which is a toy. It is the teachers pet.

The basket ball court

Here at Dingwall primary we have a basket ball court so in a term p6/1 get four times to go on it so I sometimes bring my basket ball so I can play it with mine if you don’t have one our head master has two. The basket ball court has no lines on it. On one of the sides there is a net that is bigger than the other so every one chose the one on the other side.

Stuff has been great here at Dingwall primary so far we have done relatively easy maths like place value and times tables and games. Our teacher is very nice and never shouts out LOUD! We really like her. Today we chose our reading books and our group’s. We talked about our topic and the rules and here are some of them: no shouting, put your hand up when asking a question and no cursing .Oh! and by the way our teachers name is Mrs Mackay and our class is p6/1. We will be updating on our Blog soon see you later.
The birthday

Callum and Alexander went to landmark on the 21 of August 2011 for Callum’s birthday party. First we went on the three water slides our favourite slide was the falcon it is the one that goes strait down. Later on we went on the roller coaster we got on it two times then we rushed to get on it again. We got something to eat then we went back on the water slides. After the water slides we went to the bambooslim witch is full of tricks and on the end of it is a shop and a café we got a shock pen. We went on the Tarzan trail at the end we went on it three times. When we left landmark it was raining and it was at
3.30 pm. We went to Harry ramstins for dinner for pudding we had ice cream. Then we went back to Dingwall and played on the laptop.

Class mascot

Barnaby and Benjamin are our cute cuddly mascots for
our class. When you are pupil of the week you can get to take them home. But you can only take Barnaby home because I think Benjamin is too small, so when you take Barnaby home you take him somewhere like to Landmark or Roller Bowl or just sitting at home looking at the TV. I’ve never taken him home yet but I hope I do. There are 29 people in our class so we will all get a turn.

Hobbies Swimming and Highland Dancing
Swimming is one of my best hobbies I am really good at it. I went to Dingwall swimming lesson but now I have left it and gone to the Dingwall swim club and I am still at it. Here’s a note to all the people who can not swim its hard. When you start but it’s so easy when you get the hang of it!
Highland Dancing is another of my best hobbies. I am really good at it as well as swimming. For Highland dancing you need a special sort of shoes they are called pumps. There is lots of dances like the Swords. For the Sword dance you need two flack swords and then learn the dance and then hey presto you have learned it so that’s my hobbies hope you like them!

I love horses I go horse riding. I can jump, trop and canter. I have been going since Xmas. I went to the saddle club but now I am going to lessons. I like horse riding.

This year being with Mrs Mackay was great. I did my first year in a composite class and probaly my last. I know I will see Mrs Mackay again in my final year. I enjoyed art like making collages and drawings. I have improved in sport such as Rounders and Dodgeball. I have made new friends with the p5 and I moved up with my fellow p6s (all good friends of mine). I have definitely improved in technology on making PowerPoint’s and word documents. I work better in a group and I know I will keep friends from the class for life. I have learned new skills and met a new teacher. I have improved in maths and time. This year has been great!

Jakub 2010/2011

The best thing in P5/6c is having fun with all thee different work in this class. The teacher is the best. She always has something fun to do. I made friends with my best friends Jack and Gavin. I had a brilliant year in p6.

Jade 2010/2011

My best bits from primary 6 is when Me, Jayden, Jack and Logan did our play on The Goat Who Lied, it was really funny. My second best thing was doing a topic on Egypt and Stig of the Dump. My third favourite thing is having my friends in my class.

Alex 2010/2011

My year has been fantastic. My most favourite topic would be Stig or the Dump or Scottish Culture. I have had the nicest teachers since P1. I hope I get Mrs Mackay again for P6. I have Mrs Mackay for maths and she makes it really fun.

Nicole P 2010/2011

The best thing about P5 is that I got a good teacher called Mrs Mackay and that our class had a fabulous trip. We went to the Eagle Stone, The Museum of Childhood, The Clootie Well, Chanonry point and Rosemarkie Beach. Everyone in the school likes Mrs Mackay. She is the best teacher ever.

Milly 2010/2011

The best bit about P6 was rounders and PE. I have a good teacher and I have a fabulous class. We had a great trip, we went to the Eagle Stone, The Museum of Childhood, the Clootie Well, Chanonry point and Rosemarkie beach. We all had so much fun.

Elaine 2010/2011

I’ve had a great year in P5/6c. I met new friends and my teacher Mrs Mackay is great. The best part of the year was the trip. It was excellent. My best friends are Amber, Erin, Jenna, Milly and Heather. They’re awesome and cool. I’ve had an amazing year and I’m sad it’s over. I will miss Mrs Mackay a lot.

Zoe 2010/2011

My school year in p5/6c was very fun. My favourite thing was art because it is fun to do. I also like maths because sometimes it is easy. I have nice friends like Jenna, Alex, Heather, Erin Millie and Vicki. They are very nice people. My teacher is called Mrs Mackay she is very nice too. I like being in p5/6c.

Amber 2010/2011

My year has been fabulous with p5/6c. My favourite class topic is Scotland. My favourite thing to do in school is art and maths. Maths is easy sometimes. My best friends are Millie, Jenna, Heather and Erin. I also like writing because it is good fun. I like going outside to play rounders with my class for gym.

Heather’s weekend at cadonas.

My weekend 7/6/11
On Monday morning I was very exited because it was Jenna’s party and we were going to Cadonas in Aberdeen. I was awake at 7am because Jenna was coming at 8am. I got dressed into shorts, tights and my new Hollister top. I had breakfast and brushed my hair then straightened it. I was just finished brushing my teeth when the doorbell rang and I heard Rusty barking. I ran and opened the door it was Jenna. “Hi”I said while giving her the present. I got my things and put my shoes on then me and Jenna went to her car. Erin was coming with us so Aileen went to Erin’s house to get her. When we were all ready to go we left Dingwall. We were talking about the rides till we got to Elgin. We stopped at MacDonalds for the toilet but we ended up getting drinks to. Erin had nothing, Jenna had a strawberry milkshake, I had a chocolate milkshake and Aileen and Cara had tea. We left MacDonalds about half 9 or 10. We made a list of the rides and talked, took photos and listened to music till we got to Aberdeen. Then we helped Aileen find Cadonas. When we got there we were very exited about it. We rushed inside to the arcade. There were games that you put in 2p and see if you could win a prize or more 2 pence’s. So we al changed a pound into 50 2 pence’s. We played on the 2p machines for a while then we decided to go on the vertigo. This is a big assault course it gets higher and higher till you get to level three. Me and Jenna only went to level one but Cara went to level three and Erin went to level 2. Me and Jenna came off while Erin and Cara were still on so we went on the Caterpillar ride. Then on the Crazy Train. When Cara and Erin came off we went on the Galleon and the Waltzers. Then we all went on the Crazy Train and after me and Cara went on the slides. Then we went on the … HAUNTED MANSION!! I had my eyes shut and hands over my ears because I hate things like that. When that was over and done with we went on the Galleon again and then the Looping star. It is fast ,scary and fun it goes upside down aswell! Then we just went on all the things again and again. When we were finished at Cadonas we went for dinner at TGI Fridays. I chose a Blue Raspberry slush it came with a tasty cherry on it. To eat I had Spaghetti Bolognese with Garlic Bread. We all had one of Aileen’s cheesy bites. When we were done they sang a really weird happy birthday song to Jenna and we had cake. I had a great time!

Jenna’s Birthday Party!

Yesterday I woke up at 7:20 very excited because I was going to Cadonas for my birthday party. I got dressed and brushed my hair then I went down stairs and had breakfast. I was rushing it down so I could see my little cousin Keira. Once I was finished I went to my Granny’s to see her. After I saw her I went back home and got my money and my waterproof jacket.
Me, mum and Cara set off in the car to Heathers house to pick her up. I went in to get her and my mum walked over to Erin’s to get Erin. When mum came back with Erin we got in the car and off we went. Heather gave me a present s I opened it and it was a small white bag, three flowers for my hair, a necklace and socks that have pigs on them. Then Erin gave me a present and it was a sequin art, a box of malteasers and a tatty teddy keyring that has two parts – a best and a friends. I gave the friends part to Erin because she gave it to me.
We played games like a singer that begins with each letter of the alphabet, etc. when we arrived in Elgin mum and heather needed the toilet so we went into MacDonald’s. After they had done they toilet, Mum and Cara had a cup of tea and me and heather had a milkshake. I had strawberry and Heather had chocolate.
When we arrived at Cadonas we were all very excited. We went into the arcade and played some games. Then mum got our wrist bands and our vertigo tickets. We all wanted to go on it so we went on it first. It is an assult course and it is very high up. We all went onto the first level and went on the ropes. It was very fun but scary. Me and Heather soon came down because we couldn’t go any higher, well we could but we were too scared. While Cara and Erin were still on me and Heather went on a little kiddie’s ride called the caterpillar and then we went on the crazy train which is a rollercoaster that goes quite fast. Then we went back to my mum and Cara and Erin were down. After we got a little snack we went on the walterz and the galleon. The galleon is a big pirate ship which swings from side to side and it goes really high. Erin and Cara sat at the top and me and Heather sat at the middle. We went on the log flume and the loopy star as well. We went on loads of times over and over again. Then we played mini golf. My mum won, Cara came second, Erin came third, I came fourth and Heather came fifth. After golf we went inside and played some games. Erin won a badge and Heather won two dice.
At four the park closed so we went for dinner at TGI Friday’s. I had BBQ chicken, Heather had spaghetti bolognaise, Erin had chicken tenders, Cara had BBQ ribs and Mum had a burger. After we were finished we were going to get a big popcorn and brownie sundae but Mum asked if they could put a candle on it but the lady said you can get a free fudge cake in chocolate and fudge sauce with a candle. Then all of the staff came over and started to sing a strange happy birthday song and gave me the cake. I blew out the candle and made a wish then we all tucked in. Unfortunately there was five spoons .
When we got in the car we all fell asleep. When we got to Elgin we stopped in ASDA and got some snacks. But when we were upstairs looking at the clothes Erin went hyper and started running off and hiding. When we went downstairs she went into the alcohol lane.
When I got home I went straight to bed because I was so tired.

Heather 2010/2011

This year with Mrs Mackay has been brilliant. I have improved in my confidence and Writing. I am not so good at maths and I don’t really like it but I like my maths teacher Mrs Smith.
We have done really fun things like making nice mothers day cards and learning Scottish slang. Mrs Mackay bought us a Wii with lots of games and every Friday we play Just Dance 2. Erin is definitely the best!

Jenna 2010/2011

This year with Mrs Mackay has been very fun. I have improved on a lot of things like art, writing, reading and listening. I like my maths class with Mrs Smith, music with Mrs Nelson and P.E with Mrs Junor. I have also improved on my confidence. I am still playing the violin and I am starting keyboard. I have made lots of new friends. I love playing on sumdog.

Our class made bookmarks for our enterprise project and with the money we made we bought a wii and games. One of the games is Just Dance 1 & 2. We love playing it at quality time and we played it for comic relief. I am rubbish at it and Erin is brilliant, I can never beat her!

I am really looking forward to going into P7 and I am looking forward to getting a new teacher.

Sad news on Blue Peter

News report 5/4/11

Blue Peter’s pet dog Lucy had died after 12 years on the show. Presenter’s paid tribute to the golden retriever after she died of cancer last week. Lucy was 13, had presented alongside 12 different presenters on hundreds of editions of the show and loved to play with a yellow squeaky ball She was the seventh Blue Peter dog with thousands of children sending in their pictures of her over the years. Lucy had recently appeared alongside boy band The Wanted, JK Rowling and the Queen. Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton who owns another Blue Peter dog Barney said “when you join blue peter you join a family and Lucy was a loyal and loving member of that family unit” “I no the viewers miss her as much as we already do” Everyone remembers when Presenters Gethin Jones and Andy Akinwolere were soaked a few years ago when they tried to bathe Lucy for the programme! She had lots of doggy friends through out her blue peter years including Petra, Shep, Bonnie and Meg. We love Lucy so much!
