Mr Mackenzie gets a new hair-do!
On Friday it was Children in Need day at school. In the afternoon it was the X-factor – a competition for different acts to sing and dance. At first Mr Mackenzie, our headmaster, said that if the staff had raised more than £50 he would get a scotland flag on his hair!!!! The staff raised more than £100 so Mrs Bryan sprayed it into his hair. Everyone was shouting for Scotland for the football match on Saturday. We were both sitting next to Mr Mackenzie with Amy and Rebecca when he as getting his hair done and a photographer was there taking pictures. We might be in the local newspaper this week so watch out!!!

Games and Activities
There were lots of things going on for Children in Need around the school. There was – Guess the name of the teddy, the weight of the cake, the weight of the melon, lucky dips, guess the teddy’s birthday and many more. It was good fun. Some children also made popcorn and sold it around the school . It was delicious!
This week Mr Mackenzie announced that we made more than £1300 for Children in Need!
Everybody was surprised, we thought we would only raise about £1000.
We forgot to tell you that we could wear our jammies and slippers on Friday if we paid 50p.Even Mrs Mackay was wearing hers!!!
Rebecca and Daniel.
There were other activities too including beat the goalie. Callum J scored all six goals , Roslyn guessed Pudsey bear’s birthday and won a prize. We got popcorn as well. Mrs Mackay said that if we managed to raise an extra £1 for Children in Need she would wear her PJs too – we made £1.50 so she did. It was great fun!
Anna, Sophie, Callum J.
P7 were doing guess how many sweets in the jar.
What you had to do was guess how many sweets are in the jar and you will win the sweets. If no-one gets it who ever gets the closest will win them. There maybe about 90 sweets in the jar.
Callum J, Willie-John and Sam.
The x-factor is when people gather in the hall and some people do singing and dancing on the school stage. It is fun when you see some of the acts. Not everyone gets to be in it because only one act from each class can go through to the x-factor final.
Zoe, Zara and Gavin.
When we got some money out of our school bags we were able to do things like guess the teddy’s name.We might name it like Stephen or Calum Mackintosh or Andrew. We might win a prize maybe like a toy car or a fit man keeping fit.
Scott and Grigor.
Pudsey bear day is all about fun things. You have to take money for the fun things all the money goes to charity. If you wore your PJs you had to pay 50p.Pudsey bear is the Children in Need bear.He is yellow with a white and red bandana over one of his eyes.
