Pupil Council

Dingwall primary school has a pupil council. Every year pupils get a sheet and if they want they can run for pupil council.

Cycling Proficiency

We do cycling proficiency on Thursdays. P5s only do it because P6’s and P7’s have already done it . Donald and Stuart are two of the five teachers. They teach us how to cycle safely on the road.

Swimming

Every Saturday I go to swimming with my friends. We jump and dive in. It has to be at the deep end though. We go every saturday because the big float is up and it is called “The traffic jam”.

“Now and Then”

Last week we wrote our own versions of a poem called Now and Then, it is about how canal life has changed over the years.

Now and Then

This canal once saw the people on the boats laughing and having a great time on the boat.

Viola

Every Friday i go to viola. Violas are vey similar to violins. Violas are slightly bigger and make a deeper sound. The bow for a stringed instrument is made of horse hair. My teacher is called Miss Snow.

Highland Dancing

All about highland dancing.

My fav dance is the Horn Pipe and my mums is the sword’s dance. I do highland dancing on stage at straffpeffer.

When I told my dad that I was dancing on stage he was really happy. The first time I was dancing I was really scared, but now when I get going on it all the time it is not scary.
