Christmas Cards - A Parade of Penguins!

Christmas Cards

Last Tuesday the whole class made Christmas cards for someone in their family, or for their whole family. First we got a piece of white card and we colour washed it with a light blue paint. Then we got a potato that Mrs Lemmon had made into a printer and dipped the potato in black paint, we printed it on to a smaller piece of white card to make the body then we used a smaller potato to do a white tummy. We had to leave it to dry between printing. Then we got orange paint and made a beak and feet and Mrs Mackay helped us to do an eye and we also added flippers. We glued the finished penguin on to our white background and glued glitter around it. Mrs Lemmon and Mrs Mackay love them! Why not have a look at them on our penguin parade slideshow  - let us know what you think!
